Nadir Hastalıklar KÇG Koordinatörlük Başvuru Formu
Dear Turkish Medical Students’ Association Volunteers,
We are excited to announce the opening of applications for Coordinator and Team Member positions in the Rare Diseases Small Working Group (SWG) under the Public Health Division!
Rare diseases affect millions of people worldwide, yet they often remain overlooked due to their low prevalence. Patients and their families face significant challenges, including delayed diagnoses, limited treatment options, and a lack of awareness among healthcare professionals. As future doctors, we have a responsibility to increase awareness, advocate for patient rights, and contribute to better healthcare policies.
Why is this important?
Many rare diseases have genetic origins and complex diagnostic processes, making early detection crucial.
Limited awareness among healthcare providers leads to delayed diagnoses and inadequate treatment approaches.
Patients and families struggle with isolation and a lack of accessible information.
Research and innovation in rare diseases require global collaboration and interdisciplinary efforts.
Our goal is to educate medical students, increase awareness, and promote policy discussions about rare diseases. Through this SWG, we aim to:
✅ Organize expert-led webinars to share the latest medical advancements.
✅ Develop materials to support medical students .
✅ Collaborate with national and international organizations to exchange knowledge and resources.
✅ Launch awareness campaigns to engage the public and fight misinformation.
🌍 Why should you apply?
If you want to contribute to medical education and rare disease awareness,
If you believe in the power of collaboration and global impact,
If you are eager to work with an international team and gain valuable experience,
this is your chance to be part of something meaningful!
